Watching A Train Wreck

"Watching a train wreck" doesn’t sound like a positive sound bite, but isn’t that what we like to do? We enjoy watching and feeling these characters wreck themselves and pull themselves out of the wreckage. Since these characters are so well written and portrayed, we feel their awkwardness, burst of anger, frustration and blush at the onset of a possible romance. The writers fulfill our wishes and mix in situations and dialog that makes us laugh or rubs our skin raw. But isn’t this what the title character is looking for? Doing away with dull and control and open herself to the "odd family?" The rough pacing fits perfectly with the constant awkwardness and story tangents. Enjoy the beautiful beach scenery..
