Are you a fan of Lee Byung Hun? Jung Woo Sung? Song Kang Ho? if yes to any one of these, this movie is for you. Forget about comparing it with Clint Eastwood "The Good, the bad, the ugly". Just enjoy the movie and go on with the ride.

Spoiler a wee bit… no romance or love story or any female heroin at all in this movie. Byung Hun - is the bad, scarred, cruel, gruesome bandit - dressed smartly in tailcoat and WHITE shirt, oh yes, not forgotton with gloved hands as "the BAD" Park Yang-chi… slicing, stabbing, chopping off fingers with spurting blood - hmmm…as if nothing. Jung Woo Sung as Dong Wo, the smart rugged cowboy, but… no stubbles meaning clean shaven all the time and Song Kang Ho as Tae-goo, weirdly dressed riding the 3-wheel motorcycle; the funny silly character in this movie but who is actually the underdog!

This movie is all about chasing after a MAP. Tae-goo got the map by chance but at the expense of his good friend’s life Man-gil. Dong Wo - the cowboy & sharp shooter, lived in a shack with a young girl - not sure if she is his sister or what… and Yang-Chi, the heartless bandit who killed his master without mercy at all. One of the review liked his character though lol.

Indeed a lot of chasing, shooting, killing… Must be quite a huge budget to make this movie. The story include a bit on Korean history too - the struggle of independence, Korea-Japan-China conflict etc etc, nonetheless money & power & glory all included.

so… to watch or not to watch? For a good laugh and easy watch with such actors, why not???

Enjoy! :).
