Truly Touching Table Tennis Movie
100%
I was more than pleasantly surprised by this beautiful portrayal of the events of the 1991 World Tennis Table Championships I was taken away. I have always loved anything that pertains to the tension between DPRK and South Korea, and this beautiful story is well written, and touching.
Fist and fore most anyone who loves Ha Ji-won will love this movie, she plays her part to a tee and bring the role to life, but it was how the entire cast draws you into the lives of these apposing teammates at war with each other that is so beautiful and seems so effortless.
Secondly, the movie flowed perfectly and the ending, unlike so many others, did not let me down. It was well written, casted , and shot.
Finally, in my experience if a drama/movie doesn’t make you want to cry or cheer with the crowd then it really isn’t up to par. I am happy to report that this did both, a beautiful balance of tears and joy, of tension and friendship.
