The reason why Anime series should never become Live Action series or movies, is because they never live-up to the awesomeness of the the original Anime. This being said, the producers, directors & actors of this LA Basara, TRIED to do the Anime series justice…but failed miserably. I mean, I give the actors due credit for doing a decent job of portraying the main characters as well as they did…but let’s face it, any anime fan will automatically compare these Live characters to the anime ones and will dismally come up short. The scenery, settings are…bad…and I had to cringe when I saw that. I mean, if you’re going to do a full blown series, then do it right and actually use the beautiful Japanese countryside to it’s fullest potential. Don’t go half-assed, like this series did. It only makes the entire thing look cheap and dull. The fight scenes were…wow…how can I put it…HORRIBLE…and I just had to quit watching, and shook my head in sorrow. Too bad they didn’t have a bigger budget to do this right (I’m just assuming that they didn’t have enough money to go all out with awesome special effects & all that)...because it might have made a difference between succeeding & failing, on such a wonderful Anime series. But of course, I leave it up to you all to decide for yourselves, if this is worth watching or not. IMO, it’s not.
