I remember the anime and wondered how this would translate into a live action movie? I should of known better that Japanese can not only create a living work of art from their animations, but they can carry the feelings from them and bring them into the world for us to experience for ourselves.

The story is simple: two brother as kids witness a UFO and at that time make a vow to one day become astronauts, together to travel to the moon and beyond. Fast forward twenty years the younger pursues his dream and fufills that promise, while the younger is stuck in a job with no future - but that -promise as kids is realised. And he captures that dream again and with the encouragement from his younger brother seeks to live up to that promise as kids.

The movie is so loving and endearing that the viewer can feel the emotions and personal conflicts that the older brother goes through, and how others around him are effected and inspired to follow there dreams. I for one after watching this remember some of the dreams and wishes I made as a kid on the farm, and smiled knowing that the moral of the movie is thus…

No matter how young you are, or how old you will become…. Never stop dreaming!

Nothing is impossible - for our dreams and desires make them possible….

Keep looking up at the stars for who knows out there, there might be someone looking up at the same stars dreaming the same dreams as you….
