For people who love chinese movie, you can’t miss this one.

House of flying daggers is not just an ordinary bloody martial arts film with lots of fighting scenes. In my opinion, this one is more like a love story (but of course with a great fight scenes!). The story of confliction between love, duty, responsibility, loyalty is told through 3 main characters.

Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Ziyi Zhang didn’t disappoint me at all. They are truly great actors.

The director’s (Zhang Yimou) signature, using vivid color, makes this film even more interesting. The fight scene in bamboo forest is amazing. The locations and costumes are great, especially Ziyi’s dress at the very beginning of the movie. And most importantly, Takeshi Kaneshiro is (damn) HOT!!.
