Royally On the Floor Laughing… That’s Rooftop Prince for you! What happens when you get Romance, Comedy, Mystery, Action, Time-Travel, Fantasy and a pack of Eye Candies in one drama? It’s a hellalot of fun with tons of twists and turns.
Plot: Let me tell you. It’s one twisted confusing yet captivating plot thanks to the element of Parallel Life. The sudden death of Crown Princess sent Crown Prince Yi Gak (Park Yoochun) and his hot minions to solve the mystery. One of the ultimate suspect was none other than the Crown Princess’ sister played by Han Ji Min - who was actually the first choice to be Yi Gak’s Crown Princess. Nevertheless, that’s that. Soon, he found himself (and his hot minions) 300 years fast forward in middle day Seoul - where a girl who looked exactly like his cold beloved Crown Princess exists.
Cast: The name Park Yoochun (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Miss Ripley, JYJ) and Lee Min Ho (not City Hunter but young Yangmyung) led me here. Park Yoochun plays the dual role of the Joseon crown prince and modern day (and dead) chaebol. In comparison to SKS and Ripley, his acting improved alot- though he still looked as hot as before.
Then there’s: Lee Tae Sung (Playful Kiss, 2 Outs 9 In)
Lee Min Ho as the resident genius scholar
Choi Woo Sik (TEN) as the Super Eunuch
Jung Suk Won as the best Swordsman.
The lead women are played by Han Ji Min (Padam, Jewel in the Palace) as the smart and optimistic Park Ha, while Jung Yoo Mi (1000 Promise, Dong Yi) is the traitorous Park Sena.
Cinematography: Shot with a quality camera and though the editing was kinda exquisite, i guess the time-leap is simply confusing itself.
I just watched the first three episodes and I am rooting for more..
