The story follows up right after the drama series, the gang is back for another crack at their goal, Koshien (Baseball tournament for High Schoolers). The story is solid, while I found it often real cheesy and predictable I still couldn’t help but find myself emotionally involved with it and the characters. The cast is the same, with a couple of additions like Yamamoto Yusuke (Hana Kimi, Atashinchi no Danshi, Ninkyo Helper). The music features an instrumental version of Kiseki by GreeeeN and the ending theme is Haruka by GreeeeN as well.

Overall opinion: I think of what dramas to compare this to, you got your sports dramas like "Pride", "Buzzer Beat" and such and this one ranks right up there with those. Then you got your troubled Teacher/Student dramas like "Gokusen", "GTO", "Dragon Zakura" and this one ranks up there as well. It manages to mix in many aspects and succeed in all. It’s a tad inaccurate in some parts, you’ll often have them doing a 10 minutes dramatic scene in the middle of a baseball game which would never work in reality lol. But aside from that this series has been very enjoyable and I recommend it to old school D-Addicts, sports fans or new drama fans alike..
