Description: The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), a seemingly perfect man who hides an arrogant and eccentric side, and Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses. One day they went deep into the mountains and entered a strange house, where a strange grandmother offered them chocolate to eat. The next day, they found themselves in the other's body.
PERFECTION .
100%
Romance + Comedy + Action + Fantasy + Hyun Bin = Secret Garden = Perfection .
Plot: As much as the plot of Secret Garden is a little cliche (exhanging bodies between a male and a girl) that fact that it was never (as far as i know) done in any asian dramas, makes it exciting. However, that is not all in this drama. Additionally, apart from the body-switching, the complex love story of the characters are both spectacular yet realistic in some extent. There is no wonder that Secret Garden shook Korea when it aired. It’s romance, comedy, action and fantasy in one drama! What else are you looking for?
Cast: Hyun Bin. That’s all it took for me to watch this drama at first. Hottie Hyun Bin stars as Kim Joo Won, a practical yet peculiar chaebol who finds himself uterrly in love with someone that’s undeniably not his style. This drama allows us to see a hilarious side of Hyun Bin he hadn’t show before. He made me laugh out loud with that sparkling sweater, which evaded Korea’ clothing shops like wildfire. Opposite him is Ha Ji Won who plays as the gorgeous and super cool Gil Ra Im. She is a stubborn stunt lady who is totally worthy of the name Korean Lara Croft. And then there is the adorable Yoon Sang Hyun as the not-so Hallyu Star Oska who cannot move on from his past with Yeun-Sul (Kim Sa Rang).
OST: Best OST ever (alongside Sungkyunkwan Scandal I must say). Hyun Bin’s That Man and Baek Ji Young’s That Woman is EPIC . (though I prefer Suju-Kyuhyun’s version of That Man) . But it was Kim Bum Soo’s Appear that got me hooked.
Cinematography: Awesome Visual Actors and actresses, visual effects and great transition. One of the best PDs and director must’ve created this film.
Lastly, WE DEMAND A SECOND SEASON after Hyun Bin comes out from the army.
