Perfect Blue is a bit slow moving as an earlier writer mentioned; yet,it has a goodwill about it. This goodwill makes it likeable. The story revolves around a woman’s detective agency in which various women are involved in solving mysteries. The key solver, at this point, is Kayoko. Her mother, the director og the agency, provides back up. A cool aspect of the show are the meetings in a afe with a retired detective or guy who knows a lot and can provide helpful input as well as interpretation. I like the concept of having a variety of support members who have experience in solving mysteries. At the same time, the show seems to lack a depth to it. Maybe it will change with later episodes. In all fairness, I have only viewed two episodes. I like the unique crimes that are being resolved and there is a domino affect to finding the actual criminal. I think this is an easy going mystery show and provides good entertainment. Oh, I am wondering if there will be romance between Kayoko and the detective who is always poo-pooing the women’s detective agency….hmmm. guess staying tuned will give an answer!
