Though the last two reviews stated "cheesy storyline" & "Not a good storyline but music was great", I have to differ about the story line. Many people do things they don’t want to do, such as leave a country and family they love to go somewhere they don’t know, thinking they can succeed for the better. Their heart naturally grabs at any love & kindness shown from even a stranger. Though at first this stranger didn’t want her in his life, due to his own heartaches and disappointments, he concedes to grasp for his own straw in the hay hoping to make a comeback and overcome past disappointments caused by greedy people. After a bit he realizes her potential not just in dance but her heart that begins to reach his and soften it from his painful experience of a previous student/lover. She being an innocent naive young girl of how the world works around her, dreaming of a future in fairy tale form, comes to grips of what real life is like, she grows up through her dance lessons. He being a seasoned veteran of the "real world" and what greed of others can do for the competition world. The steps they take together was not just learning to dance, but how to let go of grief, fear, heartache and learn to trust again. Their dance was the release of inner turmoil of heart giving them a chance to live again through each other. When someone tries to buy that and cheats in greed to gain it, calling them "3rd rate" because he feels money & power & violence can give him all he needs, he soon learns LOVE is what overpowers everything and he can’t win by cheating, even if he tried, he can’t succeed in the end. The hearts of two people who were lost were found in this story, the fireflies being something she brought from home, close to her heart and describing her feelings, by his raising them, showed he drew close to her and his heart became a part of hers. It was a beautiful story line, not overly romantic with overtures inappropriate to two strangers….what they showed was realistic of two people learning to walk together in life, as well as dance, one step at a time and then two hearts growing together to realize the love they could have not in competition for fame, glory or greed or money, but in real life through the good, bad, ugly, sad, happy, poor. Then they have really succeeded to win in competition of life, survival….No one can survive without love..
