Description: Three years ago, Narumi Hikaru (Nakayama Yuma) and Suga Mizuho (Honda Tsubasa) were in love and would meet in secret for several months in the second year of high school. It started casually and ended casually. Hikaru and Mizuho were alike in their inabilities to grasp their distance from others or to be interested in another person; poor at the way they get involved with other people. The two of them should not have met again, but the news of the sudden death of a high school classmate Origuchi Haruka (Mizuno Erina) from cancer brings them together again. Mizuho undertakes the search for the unknown boyfriend from high school to fulfil the wishes of the Haruka?s mother, who believes that she is her daughter?s good friend. Hikaru and Mizuho are now university students, and changes have come upon their relationship. They look back at the past, meet many people again and as they pick up various pieces of love, they get close to the true face of the unseen person.

Not your typical shoujo story... - By ldevera93

When I first heard about Piece, I thought it was a detective story because people say it’s of the mystery genre, but when I learned that it’s shoujo as well, my expectations got lower than it originally was. Sure enough, Piece went to exceeding that bar, because the moment I watched it I know this is the drama I wanted: character depth, no exaggerated acting, great pacing and line delivery, OOOMPH videography (which is not really a surprising thing seeing it picked up from where Sprout has left of…and improved it to the nth power), and…of course, sane and totally intriguing plot. It haunts you, makes you ask questions, makes you want to watch over, and over, and over again…and…makes you long and come back for more. Surely the timeslot of this drama over Japan is not primetime, but heck, this deserves to be a full-time drama! And that maybe is the only thing I’d want to change…MAKE THE EPISODES LONGER!!! Because the thirst for knowing cannot be satiated, yes.
