Medical thriller spiced of life, greed, power, ambition & money!
90%
AS an addict of happy, funny, romantic and with happy-ever-after kind of story, this one short movie have none of those but somehow had me rooted to watch it and slowly savouring it for each single moment.
I am so in love with Dr Lee in "Brain" and that is also another reason why I chose to watch this movie - LOL :)
be prepared for this movie. To me, it’s gross, it’s inhuman, it’s disgusting - how human greed, ambition, with money and power can manipulate and deceive the world. In this movie, the world is the medical care!
From someone who is practically ignorant of Japanese medical & health system, what I could decipher is that the medical costs etc will be borne by the patients and the hospitals are mostly private hospitals? In this movie, the 2 hospital - St Catherine’s & Toto Medical Centre (something like that?) were competing for the prestigious acknowledgement of medical care and successful brain surgeries.
The presence of the top notch Japan brain surgeon, Hiyama Fuyumi was very crucial and that her skill was on pawn for this game the main player were in without her knowing it.
The presence of the Medical Coordinator - Nakahara Tokoma, was really suspicious and at a certain point, annoying. well performed I must say. She has the "evil" kind of face that seemed capable to do what she intended to do despite her show of good intention ?
Fuyumi alcoholic sister, why so depressing life? envious of her own younger sister success? pathetic! and what kind of love is this in this story!
Isaka’s mum - so busy that couldnt even take time off from work when her daughter was admitted and to go thru major brain operation! ridiculous!!!
then the presence of a jealous colleagues. oh my… this movie is full of negative energy - if its a drama, I will not proceed but its a movie hence I watched till the end.
So many people died at the expense of 2 main selfish men. This again sending us the message that if you want success and be at the top, use money to get you there and be ruthless - use people even if it means death, so be it. The end is most important doesnt matter how you do it to achieve it. Means justifies the end.
I felt so angry at the end of thi movie. I have to say it is well performed though the story line gives me nightmare.
if you are the fan of hatred, revenge, bloodied, thriller kind of story, this is just for you but certainly not for me who simply crave for a happy, fun, loving kind of story to lighten up my day and energize my life positively.
happy watching!
