This story revolves around five doctors during their residency at the Seirin ER Department.  The main character is Miyama (Naka Riisa), a tough MMA girl with a heart of gold who became a doctor because she saw her dad save her brother’s life when she was younger.  Manaka (Masuda Takahisa) is a wealthy but nervous and unsure doctor.  Koiwai (Oomasa Aya, the pretty girl from YNSH) is snobby, apathetic pretty girl who’s used to being #1.  She only became a doctor because she was always top of her class and passed the entrance exam.  Yazawa is a sharp and confident doctor, but just like Koiwai seems not to care for patients.  Shinjou (Ishibashi Anna) seems kindhearted but naive and weak.

After watching Episode 1, you get the feeling that most of the series will focus on character development.  Will Miyama gain her father’s confidence in her abilities as a female doctor?  Will Manaka overcome his anxiety?  Will Koiwai realize her desire to save people?

I guess we’ll just have to watch and see…
