The storyline didn’t go as I thought it would: it was even better! I liked how the movie took place over a long time. This was important to the development of the two main characters. Both leads were able to accomplish the dreams they wanted to pursue when they were young. After their dreams were realized, the story continued to develop and this made the second half of the film just as enjoyable as the first half. Director Doi Nobuhiro (Be With You, Nada So So, and Beautiful Life) succeeded in drawing lots of emotions from his characters. Aragaki Yui & Ikuta Toma, as the two leads, had good chemistry between them. They took me on a satisfying journey as their relationship developed and matured. I enjoyed how they went from pure, innocent love to deep, undying love.  The cast all did a very good job, especially Kimura Yuichi (who’s a joy to watch in whatever he does). The movie was bittersweet, but definitely worth watching..
