This movie caught my eyes coz it has something to do with piano. After watching Nodame Cantabile that really fascinated me into the beauty of classical music, I am putting quite high hope for this movie too.

Unlike Nodame Cantabile adapted from manga, this movie "For Horowitz" revolved around the life of a woman - Ji-Soo in furthering her loves in music and particularly in piano whilst trying to overcome her frustration in not becoming a professional pianist. It is during this period of self discovering and rebuilding her self, the wee boy Gyung-Min, extra ordinary unruly boy, left alone by her unkempt grandma who swear a lot with an excuse she is dying thus shouldnt shower so much love to her grandson. This is find really annoying.

anyway, the kind hearted Ji-Soo finally found a self-born genius who could play piano so very well and within veerry short time get to train him to enter one major competition. It was rather unfortunate things didnt turn out as Ji-soo expected and she tried to separate herself with Gyung-Min. Fate however brought them together for a short while before they were separated again. Ji-Soo do have one loyal admirer / fan. And lucky her, he always kept an eye for her wellbeing. Do they end up together?

This movie is kept short and simple. Not much beating behind the bush thingey but enough to to convey the message. the final scene is the finale between these 2 people. Did I shed any tear? yes, I did…

If you are looking for a romance kind of story, it’s none here but it is a sweet, kind "love story" nonetheless between 2 human beings.
