Description: Based on an inspirational true love story. Sakutaro (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi), a science fiction writer, meets Setsuko (Yuko Takeuchi) in high school, and they eventually marry. Setsuko complains about stomach pains and finds out that she has colon cancer. Hearing that laughter could help, Sakutaro composes a story each day his wife lives. In total, he made 1,778 stories.

This was one of the greatest stories ever told i loved this mans love and devotion to his wife. i know there are not many man around of that nature. This movie made have faith in men again. The actor who played the role of the spouse was outstanding also the actress who played the wife was also great. If this was a true story the movie made a great outstanding role for the spouse and he can watch it think how many good memories they made together. Thank you.
