It's already smokin'!

The first episode revealed a lavish and decadent palace life that was truly depraved in its entertainment for the nobility while honest hardworking peasants were brutalized beyond belief. Immediately the villains are set in cast iron hatred (Yuan’s emissary, a.k.a. the ugly dude) in my heart while I prayed for a hero. Enter our hapless couple and the guys dressed up in ferocious animal skins wearing skulls taunting them. You even get to see Ji Jin Hee as the head honcho (no pun intended) of this feral band with gleaming white teeth smiling deadly at his prey in the first episode. Makes you feel kinda sorry for the prey.
He’s actually playing Yi Seong-gye, the dude who takes down the old Goryeo era and brings in the new Joseon dynasty. Is it planned or plain ironic that Ji Jin Hee plays the general who is responsible for the death of general Choi Young who is currently being portrayed by Lee Min Ho in "Faith"? Either way this drama touts the best actors with the best costumes in the coolest battle scene at the end of the episode. At the risk of really exposing my geekdom I must say that LEGOLAS would be totally jealous of Yi Seong-gye’s archery skills and if this drama is never subbed, I’m just gonna watch it and make up my own dialogue cause it’s "effing" fabulous!
