The show has definitely an interesting premise and that’s a given how the primary character who solves the case is a professional in opening locks. So he gets a stunning a intro in first episode. From then on the cases with a locked room scenario has him looking over the locks and figuring out how it could have been picked. He eventually also solves the cases using his brilliant deduction skills.
Characterization is great, acting is good and the cases are intelligent. Toda Erika is back and its always a pleasure to watch her on screen. Ohno suits the role wonderfully well given how he can pull of sarcasm and satire with a straight face.
All said and done, but something seems lacking here. The whole package as such fails to deliver and at places it seems strained. The dialogues aren’t crisp as a character like Enomoto would be expected to deliver.
But then again, the season has just begun and these dramas tend to pick up speed and intensity exploring the characters in its wake. So, fingers crossed for a great run!.
