I must say this show is something that makes me look forward to Wednesdays and Thursdays. The role reversals, fast-paced plot development, spot-on casting, and adorable side-characters (Aunt and Director Ban) really does the trick for me.
Most noteworthy among the cast is Shin Min-ah, playing the role of Mi Ho. She does an excellent job portraying the Gumiho’s child-like naivete and innocent nature; as well the wily, manipulative tendencies she have to get what she wants, which is mostly meat. People had doubts when she was cast for the role but I must say I can’t imagine anyone else doing this better than her.
Lee Seung Gi is also well-casted for the role of Cha Dae Woong, the aspiring action star who, due to a series of events, freed the gumiho. His character is immature, happy go lucky, and wimpy in face of the gumiho (which is understandable, when your girlfriend can lift a soda vending machine with one hand.) I might’ve hated his character if not for his honesty.
So far I’m all praises for this series and would definitely recommend that you watch..
