High Expectations
90%
We’ve got a main cast that includes three big name Johnny’s, Kamenashi Kazuya, Tegoshi Yuya, and Uchi Hiroki. Just like in the namesake of the drama, it’s giving us a lot of idol candy to take in, but will it suffice for the story?
The four men in the story are to range from handsome, to beautiful, to sexy, and so far the drama has given us what we want to see: Sexy men living under one roof. Yes, you’re damn lucky, Sunako! But while all of these men are sexy, Kyohei is supposed to be the most attractive, being manly but beautiful at the same time. Playing said character is none other than Kamenashi Kazuya, the tease and seductress of KAT-TUN. Having mainly played roles of either quiet, or emotionally strained men, how will playing a short-tempered, bi-sexually attractive man turn out?
This will prove to be a challenge for the lead male of the story, Kamenashi. To be able to come across as appealing to both men and women, like Kyohei, is not the challenge; to be able to radiate Kyohei’s air of masculinity and arrogance, is the challenge. Kamenashi’s…softer, I guess you could say, in physical appearance than most of the Japanese men in the acting industry. He doesn’t always exude that air of manliness that I’d see hanging off of Kyohei in waves, and I couldn’t see Kamenashi being arrogant, or extremely rude.
But despite my personal thoughts, I do not doubt that Kame will prove a successful actor and play the role accordingly. I’ve got high expectations for this anime-made-drama though and I’m hoping it will be successful.
Let’s wish the best for this drama..
