I was very surprised at the theme of this movie.  It offered no hope of redemption for the younger generations, who are the future of our society and world.

I can fully understand and sympathize with the actions of the teacher.  But, it was also depressing to see that she had considered these middle school children to be total lost causes and not salvageable back into responsible human beings.

I also wonder what kind of society can produce such violent and amoral children.

The acting by the adults and children are fantastic.  The script and directing elicits us to do some *****searching and look at the society around us.

This is not an easy movie to watch.  And, it does make one contemplate..
