The story is about 5 boys, each with a different personality, in their last year of high school, who live in the suburbs of Tokyo and… well that’s probably about all that can be said involving the story line. It’s based on the actual people who live in those suburbs. Don’t expect a great plot, just sit back and relax… and laugh until you cry. Enjoy seeing the world trough the eyes of almost-adult boy’s who are taking a step into the unknown (AKA out of the suburbs, central Tokyo).
About the actors, they are Arashi. Arashi is a Japanese boys-band under Johnny’s Entertainment (yes, that’s right, they’re not actors, but they do a fantastic job acting in this film). If you never heard of Arashi, I’d recommend you just type in ‘Arashi’ on google. But beware, you might start to like them (which means all your free time will be spend on them, not that that’s a bad thing).
Maybe a little note: the title is wrong, it’s supposed to be: Pikanchi, Life is Hard Dakedo(but) Happy. It got jumbled up with the second film: Pikanchi Double Life is Hard Dakara(and thus) Happy, which I highly recommend too..
