I started to watch Fantasy Couple after temporary dropping two other 2011 series that were rated very high in expectations, but felt rather disappointing when watching them.

After a newborn 2011 classic like Secret Garden, and watching older classics like Boys Before Flowers, ( Korean version), I decided to go for an easy one.

Fantasy Couple, because this was the only one I had not seen from The Hong-sisters yet.

Ranked very low in Dramacrazy, so this one could not disappoint, because I did not expect anything, could I ?

I did not. In the first moments I thought to see another rich spoiled lady, without manners. We have seen that in more recent series.

But when the two main characters are meeting each other in less comfortable circumstances, the action starts, creating two enemies for life, it seems.

There is a lot of subtle almost surrealistic humor in this production.

Lot’s of running gags that don’t bore but are really funny.

It is not all sweet- and sugarcoated: This is a Hong-Sisters production, which means there are underflows of emotions that really sting.

The main characters are played well.

Han Ye Seul is very well able to express the changing moods of Anna Jo, while being an angel and a witch at the same time.

Oh Ji Ho as Jang Chul Soo, the craftsman with a golden heart too.

But the rest of the surrounding cast is also very good.

From the people in the shops, the staff in the Villa, etc.

Special attention for the kids, and Jung Soo Young as the mildy retarded Kang Ja: "Will it snow ?".
