let me just start by saying how long have i been waiting to watch this movie ,,,,,,,,,, finally after a long wait.and its double fun i mean joe odagiri and jang dong gun so most of you who see these two names would definitely watch the movie without further reading this review. but let me say an unexpected movie it turned out to be.the movie kind of starts in the olmpic track and ends there.the story revolves sround two men who know each other from childhood more so like rivals and the story depicts time during second world war.during the process of war they become friends.all these apart after watching the movie it makes you to want to think whether its a korean movie or japanese as most of the dialogues are in japanese.and makes you want to think does the hero have always got be self sacrificing and forgiving . but then that is why he is a hero and the other is a supporting actor.part of the story is taken from a real life story of Yang Kyoungjong- a korean sentenced to serve in the japanese army later captured and surved in soviet union army then german army, finally caught by american troops normandy france belived to be a japanese in german uniform.later found to be korean.he went from being british prisoner to united states where he lived till his death, that is 1992.talk about fate and luck.though i really dont know whether he took part in 1948 london olympics but some other parts of the movie is based on him.soooooooooo in conclusion the whole movie team have done its home work and it shows throughout the movie.
