Description: Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto. Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano. -- Japan Times Online
"Bucho" n' Hotaru truly the best...
100%
Word’s can’t explain how much this drama made an impact to me..
Naohito Fujiki played the role of Takano or known as "Bucho" and Ayase Haruka who played Hotaru but more known as "Ahomiya", started to live in the same house. As Boss and Junior, it was meant to be kept secret but due to love and friendship circumstances, a certain number of people knew about their secret.
I just love how the story depicts its different characters: Bucho has to divorce his wife so he has to live at his parent’s house only realizing that Bontaro(his father-somehow I want to see him) has made Hotaru borrow it who happened to be his officemate… He soon realizes her more relaxed personality, being lazy, drinking beer on the porch (there favorite place in the house) and wearing a shirt and pants… But the story becomes more interesting when Ahomiya fell in love with Makoto (a newbie in the office), who happened to like her too and this is where Bucho gives advice to Ahomiya on how to pursue her love (without her realizing that Bucho has fallen for her too, but as a mature man he wishes her happiness)...
I just love the Love Triangle Takano to Hotaru or Makoto and Makoto to Hotaru to Takano (anyone would be alright)... If she ended up with either I would still be very happy.. But I want her to yearn more to Bucho since I really think they look very good together…
Plus there are lots of twists in the story too, as Yuuka who also likes Makoto and some other office mates who have love affairs too..
This is the drama that you can’t just stop watching… You will really fall in love with both the starring characters of Bucho and Ahomiya!
I think that this drama has showed us that there is no right answer to LOVE.. the BEST answer is what you choose.. and likewise it is alright to take detours.. because falling in love and being in love would make a person grow and become more mature…
I wish there would be Hotaru no Hikari Season 2.
