Bad chemistry my ass! - By parfaitified

Love this drama! The characters are hot, the girl is a strong, PRETTY, main lead who doesn’t take crap from anyone. I’m constantly frustrated when ugly female leads end up with hot male ones. Can we please be a little more realistic here? The girl also isn’t bullied around by the guy, which would NEVER happen in real life. We all know that the guy is supposed to be whipped.

The chemistry between Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo is cute, but is not 100% gushy true love romance. Which is a refreshing change. They are a high school couple, it’s natural that they’d be a little awkward. And it’s the first long term relationship for both of them! I personally thing that the awkwardly cute moments that they have make them a much more believable and interesting couple.

I watched a couple episodes of Hana Yori Dango, but I could not get over how BAD the main lead was. Her self narrating bothered me sooooo much, and I hated how ugly the drama was overall. The guys were also horrendous on the eyes. It looked like a crappy production, and I don’t even want to bother to watch the Taiwanese one, considering how unrealistic it is that a large global conglomerate would be in Taiwan.

Also, it seems that a lot of reviewers started watching the drama, already thinking "Wow, the main is so old, she’ll never play a good highschooler." I thought her highschooler interpretation was fine. Not every highschooler acts like a naive, retardedly romantic 14 year old. She was in high school once, I’m sure she knows what it’s like and 25 isn’t even that old. Seriously, keep your biases and your jealousy to yourself. :/.
