I really thought this was gonna be one of those touching life-lesson dramas, like LIFE.
What actually happened: it was completely predictable, to the point where it wasn’t predictable anymore. Honestly, I was SOOOO sure that there would be a change in the plot and there would be a good twist at the end. But it felt like they put everything in to help the main character at the very last moment so they wouldnt have a "bad" ending. Yeah…it was pretty bad. It felt like a disney movie, except more crushing, annoying, irritating, and completely amusing at the end.
What I thought about it: it seems like the message that this drama tries to put out there is that "every girl is a princess". Seriously? nothing better than that??????!! This seems like a manga more than a drama…there was way too much overacting and I found that even if you were a maid from a princess, people have limits to their ability to be mean to you, because they’ll be broken by their conscience and they wouldn’t be so rude. The "friends" in the drama seemed weak. The bonds weren’t even that touching…I just found that the friends were all one person smacked in one that followed each other around all day and had no opinion for themselves. Plus, there’s no girl that could take it that long. Anyone who has self-respect would speak up for themselves at some point. Seira looks like she’s a strong girl, but she’s actually really weak and can’t even defend herself except when other’s say she’s not a princess - THEN she gets all riled up.
overall this drama was a bit of a waste of time, I hoped to have cried a little more, but the middle parts were way too annoying and unrealistic that i didn’t shed one tear for the girls or the pitiable Chieko lady. The ending was better than I described it. It held the drama together because if the ending hadnt been that way, I would have rated this drama way lower. It was quick but did the job, which is more than I would expect from the drama halfway into it..
