Move through Fantasy and Reality while watching Asian Drama!
Description: A seaside village, Guangdong province, China, the present day. Actor-writer Fang Yi'nan (Shawn Yue) and actress Lin Huibao (Shu Qi) have been together since they met after graduating at drama college, though Huibao's elder identical twin sister Huixiang (Shu Qi) is also in love with him. Huibao has the secondary female role in a costume musical drama that Yi'nan has written, starring himself and older actress Amy (Chen Shu), called The Legend of Plum Blossom (紅梅傳奇). The stage play is about a scholar, Peilang, and the two women who love him - Huiniang, who died three years ago, and Lu Zhaorong. At a performance in Beijing, Huixiang takes over Huibao's part for one night when the latter feels ill, and, though only an amateur, is a great success. Back home, where the sisters live with their blind mother (Xi Meijuan), Yi'nan finally decides to get engaged to Huibao. Huixiang suddenly disappears and no one can trace her. Meanwhile, Amy, who's always been unhappy with Huibao's clumsy acting, threatens to quit the play, and is then hospitalised for a week after an accident during rehearsals caused by Huibao. Huibao thus gets a crack at the lead role. In the meantime, Yi'nan's best friend KK (Zhang Naitian) offers to help track down Huixiang in his spare time, and starts to suspect that Huixiang has actually taken Huibao's place.
a twisted one...
she’s a great actress..i saw her in every movies. Here she portrays a twin who loves one man. Bao is the actress that lives with the man, but cannot portray so much unlike her twin sister. They seemed had fun twisting each other in their younger years, but it became unlikely in the end. Huiang Chang the other twin, is so in love with Bao’s man, and portrayed the main lead role for Bao, and made an excellent performance that Bao’s got jealous, and brings the tragedy to their family. Great acting here and cinematography, you don’t want to miss this..:)
