A Pleasant Surprise - By Thorpedo_oz

Starting this drama, never expected anything from it. I usually mostly watch Korean & Japanese dramas. I would go to Taiwanese, if there’s nothing REALLY good to watch in either countries I’ve mentioned. Or if I’m passing time, to let some of dramas I’m waiting for air some more episodes. Because I hate the waiting game & anticipation every week, I tell you it’s a torture in itself. So that is my excuse for stumbling upon this little gem of a drama. As many of you who have tried watching a Taiwanese drama, it is on a different league of itself, compared to it’s 2 counterpart. It could be over the top cheesy acting, and some questionable execution of story lines. SO imagine my surprise, to have discovered this drama out of the sea of dramas available here on this site. I was hooked from the very first episode, and cannot let go of finishing this drama ‘till the very end. At last finishing the drama in 3 days, it only took that long because I need to sleep.^ ^  What did I take away from this drama? Love endures… Seriously no matter what our OTP has to go through (and they’ve been through A LOT!), if LOVE was there to begin with. Everything is worth it in the end. Obviously in all dramas that tackles romance, the pit falls of cliche situations wouldn’t be loss. But don’t be discourage, I think it’s one of the charms of this drama.

This is my very first Wil Pan drama and I’m looking forward on his future drama endeavors. Each character delivered on their roles. The story of their lives progressed from friendship to courtship, to love, to loss, to discovering the truth, to finally being reunited to the one you truly belong to. You will enjoy and love this underrated drama in the long run. I know I did!.
