It was really good but why do they always end like this?

until the very end, Jung Ki Joon was an arrogant chauvanistic villain. Such an amazing drama!

best drama for 2011 aside from secret garden. the storyline was really amazing. but why does both soyi and chae yoon have to die. its really sad that they didnt get to see the world where common people can also read and write.

wooooow I was so moved, right now I don`t know how to write my feelings down. At least they were able to achieve what they were fighting for, a great way to dy.
Sometimes I do wonder, how those old aged guys were able to live that long, since anyone could kill them for any reason in old times :) ,
But to summon the whole story it was a breathtaking drama . Every episode for itself was amazing

this shows how difficult those right for humans were to win. There were people who had to fight for, what we have now in our hands.
Great story, great actors, I am too moved to write a better comment....
Just enjoy the show.

This was such an incredible and breathtaking drama ....I'm lost of words.....it was amazing.....predictable yes....but that didn't take away the beauty in it.......what can I say.....the best drama I saw in a long time (but I still missed the fightings scenes in Chuno :p)

(plus the unbelieveable jumping plotline's and strange character actions)
make me wanna shoot those characters.
almost regretting i started watching this.

A lot of exciting moments but a lot of boringly stretched out moments too. A lot of extremes in this movie-- intelligent and absurd, serious and comical, gentle and brusque, wise and stupid verses, etc. I like the production and plot. The subject matter is hard to absorb and to relate to, esp for foreigners. As in any korean drama, viewer becomes alive among the characters... ending is always dramatic and beautiful.

thank you dramacrazy and to all the subbers do did a great job! im still crying with the finale...i watched chuno and this drama, does jang hyuk always die in all his drama?in chuno he died,here in deep rooted tree he also died...im so sad...although, in my opinion jang hyuk is a very good actor...he's an artist in his craft...this drama showed how great he is...and also all the other actors in this drama...great casting...great plot...great drama!
