I'm really looking forward to this one- the heroes of the shilla. I was really interested in seeing another focusing on general Yusin, since QSD. QSD didn't do that historical figure justice enough, so I have high hopes for this drama.

A real historical drama, doesn't need time travel. ( now and then is kinda fun, just don't over do it))
Some very famous, familiar actors, some less so, as well as those that are growing up and into their acting abilities. And of course, new faces to enjoy.
I also love the outdoor scenes, which let us see Korea's beautiful country side.
I hope this will be a looonnngg series with 70 episodes! The time period and characters deserve that much.

in qsd, kim chunchu was the son of princess cheongmyeong twin sister of queen seon deok, right? and alcheon was also a hwarang, kim yusin's comrade. but why is he an old man here?

I like this story so far.. don't care if it's just another version.. am looking forward to watch the show..

im quite confused. QSD charactrers and this drama dont match, but anyway this will be a good drama, thanks to all subbers and uploaders

95% of the cast are unknown to me, the 5% i know the faces and some i think i knew the face, why is this when in fact i watched a lot of dramas before, thus korean tv stations frequently hire actors and actress that are not on the main stream???? i've watched QSD long ago so i forgot the story line already, but i like this the fighting scenes are neat with that extra camera works, but why the video reception is different from other tv stations???? no HD for kbsworld???

I really enjoy this drama; very well done if you can get past the bright colored costumes. Dye was made from natural substances back then and wasn't that bright. It's very distracting.

I finished watching Gye Baek a few weeks ago, I'm glad I found this drama so I can see Chunchu and Kim Yusin in a different way. I enjoy the fighting scenes and very beautiful views. Also the clothing/accesories very nice, hair and makeup too.
Since I saw Yusin, even with his face painted, I kept thinking I knew this boy so I wiki him (thanks for having their names in romaji) and he has been in a lot of historical/period dramas. I really like him.
