I like the way that this story is all apparently about surgery on the brain and knowledge of the physical aspects of the brain but that the story for many characters is now hingeing on the more mysterious ways in which it actually works - light and dark emotions, amnesia, the effects of guilt . . . and the role that empathy might play in medical treatments.

This is drama not the documentary series so of course, it also has to show the whole life of the surgeons, not only their works but also the humanity side such as: their feelings, their pasts, their mistakes, their ambitions and their selfishness. Nobody perfect !! I love this series because nobody is so superhero. Everybody in this series have their own weakness.
If you just looking for medical knowledge, you should watched documentary caused more details and correct.
