Description: In this final episode of the hugely successful 'One Missed Call' franchise, the timid, young Asuka is bullied by her classmates. When they embark on a class field trip to Korea, Asuka plans revenge by sending a disturbing photo with the message: 'If you transmit this cursed photo to someone else, your life will be spared.' The students rush to pass the photo on to save their own lives, sparking a deadly fight for survival using cell phones! The final installment in this massively popular J-horror series lives up to Takashi Miike?s original production. This time around, the action moves to South Korea as a group of students (of course) are about to be terrorized by another series of mysterious cell-phone calls from the future that accurately predict their gruesome demise. But unlike previous installments, students can avoid their untimely dates with death by passing on the message to a friend, creating a scenario akin to Fukasaku?s masterful critique of Japanese youth culture, BATTLE ROYALE. While employing a host of techniques that have made J-horror such a popular genre, ONE MISSED CALL 3 uses the format to tackle issues of school bullying and technological paranoia.
