Great movie, The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal Mixed with Japanese Folklore ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Wheeee! Another excellent yokai based manga turned into a drama. The mangaka who created Kitaro plays with a load of old japanese myths and legends that don't generally make it through to western translations. The umbrella with an eye is an example of which. Splendid - I will have to search to see if there is a series about Kitaro now.
