I finally understood the use of interracial babies in the opening of the series.
This is nice, ne? In a world full of prejudice and discrimination, it's good to know that somehow the world isn't as bad as we think especially if we have the love and support of our family and friends.

I have to commend the acting skills of Matsumoto Jun (Hayakawa Vito), Nakai Kiichi (Ito Kazuma), and Oguri Shun (Hayashi Seiji). Sugoi!

One more thing I have to note: MatsuJun really pulled off those three hairstyles, ne? :D

Wow, I really don't even know where to begin. I originally had my doubts because its so low rated. Having just watched Hana Yori Dango I both really liked Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun as actors I found their versatility amazing.

The storyline in itself a issue that so many people try and ignore, I understand now the low rating and why it would be controversial. Absolutely incredible amazing screen writer. Applaud all the actors

WOW...i really like this drama it was really good it made me cry a lot i like the feelings its tried to show...its now one of my favorites... i really liked Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun their acting is amazing. i never thought that Oguri Shun will do it as a bad guy, but he really surprised me (he's still so cute :))

i shed a happy tear at the end when he was finally free. 1st and only tear i've shed watching a drama. this drama really touched me. i don't know about the acting awards systems in japan but matsujun, aragaki-chan and nakai-san should at least be nominated for their performances. matsujun carried the lead very well. i am so glad i decided to not give up on this drama. oguri shun even tho i hated his character his performance only made me more of a fan girl. the morals of the drama is so heart warming and inspirational, and the references to dr martin luther king fit right in(racism is is every

OMG, great intense drama, got me chuckling at the effort of the girl to get the date with vito, made my blood boil at the descrimination and injustice of the world but ending is absolutely perfect.
it's a shame that discrimination is still happening in this day and age, but it's all over the world, not just asia... its a sad, sad world we're living in

This is one of the best Japanese Dramas I've ever seen. Is a great way to teach us all not to be prejudiced against other people and not only when it comes to racial discrimination, but in everything in live.
This drama is really interesting and intense... the actors did such a great job. I loved it.

is this thing really happens in japan? im a filipino, after i watched this drama, somewhat i feel a little scared going to japan. hehehe. what im scared is what japanese people think of a filipino. this drama is really great. i wish i meet like hana-chan someday :D

Absolutly amazing

This drama really takes you on the real... it's really great, everyone acted their part well, the lead and the supporting actors/actresses were just amazing.... with the message conveyed, this was really a creation of substance... on another note, I'm just loving Jun more and more :)
