Kokuchisezu (Japanese Drama)

Description: Based on the essay Oretachi wa Kazoku (We are Family) by Ohara Kenshiro, Kokuchisezu, is about a surgeon Hasegawa Seji (Watari Tetsuya) whose mantra is to tell patients not to give up right to the very end when he announces their illness to them, finds it being tested when his wife Toko (Takahata Atsuko) is diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine. Ryo (Takizawa Hideaki), their son who is training as a houseman, knows of his mother?s illness. He and his father, who can?t bring himself to tell Toko, struggle to find an answer.
