Mari's being ridiculous, but in a way it's understandable. Asou being afraid of Aya's father is so incredibly cute. Too bad he can't get along well with his own family. Yeah, some of the parents really deserve a beating.... especially those mothers... *fumes*

if the shoe was on the other foot i bet those parents would ask for the same patience

that girl in the wheelchair, when she said "This disease isn't unlucky, it's inconvenient", that's so true. I was so impressed, that you can be so happy even with that. i know if it were me, i'd be self-pitying. you gotta be strong, and aya can do it (:

Those parents were horrible. I wish them a nice and warm trip to hell, because the've made it certain that they're people who've done enough evil deeds to get there without Jigoku Shoujo's help.

I don't really understand people's problem with the other parents. Although their requests seem selfish, they are looking after their own child, just as Aya's mother is. Any one of them may have asked for the same patience, and would have received the same treatment. For all we know, if it were another of Aya's classmates and not her, her mother could have even agreed. I don't know how stressful exams are in Japan, but they seem to be bigger there than they ever were in my schools. Plus, it seems as though her high school was pretty big on academics, so then exams would be even more impor

The melody and the Ikeuchi family's loving and caring words are already enough.
Simply love this drama.

When Aya's mother gave her "plea" I felt like crying.

Those are some supportive friends I was happy when they made up again at the end and the photos and the end brought tears. However I don't think the parents were THAT out of order, like Ayas mother they are looking out for their child.

I think the parents are unjust, but they are just trying to protect their children. The people I don't understand is the school. They are not doing anything to help. In my high school a girl with the same kind of sickness was studying... They made sure all her classroom was on the first floor (if possible), hire a person to help (two university students at minimum salary) and asked the teacher to print notes for her so she did not slow down the lesson, she had twice the time for exam or had oral exam. She finished the whole five years in a private school with high academic standard. I don't un
