In this kung fu saga set in 17th century China, the Manchurians have taken over the country from the Ming Dynasty rulers. As the new Qing government begins a crackdown on martial arts practitioners, seven kung fu masters, each of whom carry a sword that represents one of the seven states of being, must struggle to keep their art and themselves alive. It's an epic story of love, betrayal, friendship, heroism, and masterful swordplay. 1664 AD, the Manchurians defeated the Ming Empire and successfully captured Central Plains. To exert its influence and ensure trouble-free reign, the Manchu government went all out to arrest practitioners of martial arts. To save Central Plains, a recluse at Mt Tian, Dhyana Master Reverend Hui Ming (Master Shadow Glow), ordered his four students to descend Mt Tian along with two villagers and a former executioner to save a group of villagers for the crime of practicing martial arts. The seven men titled themselves as the "Seven Swords"
