Crossing Hennessy (Hong-kong Movie)

Description: Loy (Jacky Cheung), a 41-year-old bachelor who lives with his mother (Paw Hee-Ching) and aunt (Chu Mi-Mi), often goes to match-making lunches setup by his mother. His mother owns and operates a electrical store setup by his deceased husband (Lovell Lo) in Wan Chai. Loy's mother is an accountant (Danny Lee Sau-Yin)'s love interest. He keeps a dog and brings it with him everywhere. Orphaned Oi Lin (Tang Wei) lives with and works for her uncle and aunt (her mother's brother and his wife) in a bathroom appliances store onLockhart Road. She is in a relationship with Xu (Andy On) which her uncle disapproves, due to his often run in with the law. He thus setup a match-making lunch for her and Loy with Loy's mother. Loy and Oi Lin did not fall for each other at their first meeting. But their families kept their hopes up. Loy's mother made Loy deliver a dehumidifier to Oi Lin's store personally. Then Oi Lin's uncle made her go for tea with Loy at a nearby Cha chaan teng (Honolulu Coffee Shop). The two stuck up a friendship after discovering a mutual interest in detective stories.
