Wings (Chinese Movie)

Description: The big city is a heartless place, and contemporary Beijing, where money is the new emperor, is no exception. Xiaobei has come to Beijing to go to school, but the realities of life in the capital catch up to her and she attempts to drown herself. As chance would happen, her saviour, GongPing, is a young man with no hands. GongPing rescues her in more ways than one; he takes her home to his single mother and is watchful for any further signs of attempted suicide. Slowly GongPing helps Xiaobei regain her desire to live. But Xiaobei's troubles aren't over. In an effort to help the orphanage where she and GongPing have volunteered, Xiaobei has reverted to scamming couples in search of a surrogate mother. When her hoax comes to light, GonPing's feelings for Xiaobei are put to another test.
